About Me

Jason born and raised in the Midwest, he grew up in Chicago, IL and Cincinnati, OH.

After college, he was a Financial Advisor in the High Net Worth and Financial Planning space in various licensed roles for the better part of 20 years bringing a passion for advisor development and high quality client outcomes. This background working with the full spectrum of Senior-related issues (to include Long-Term Care funding, Annuities, Medicare solutions, Estate Planning, Legacy planning, Retirement Income planning) led him down a path to discover how misunderstood and underutilized the Reverse Mortgage is leading to less than optimal outcomes for people who sacrificed their whole life to get to the point of eligibility.  While certainly not recommended for everyone, stigmas and misinformation related to reverse mortgages persist among retirees in the U.S. often because those doing the education are commissioned salespeople and most financial advisors are not trained or allowed to give advice on them.

Jason brings leadership experience both formal and informal from Vanguard, USAA, Department of Veteran's Affairs and the US Army Reserve among other Fortune 500 financial services companies throughout his career. Jason's military experience as a paratrooper leading a Psychological Operations team included a tour in Iraq (2003) where he was most notably awarded a Bronze Star Medal for leadership and a Purple Heart among others. That experience taught him to live for no wasted days, one of the principles he has touted to Senior clients. 

His formal education includes a Finance degree from The Ohio State University, an M.B.A. from Arizona State University, and proud alumni of the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA. His current active professional designations include the CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, RICP®. 

In his spare time he enjoys writing, spending time with his 11 year old son, coaching youth sports, volunteering with Veteran's groups, road trips (checking off National Parks), and open water swimming.
